Buenos Aires, Argentina Day 2 – Tango Show Time

For today we planned attending a Tango show. We informed ourselves about all the different venues. Friends recommended us Señor Tango, the most outrageous of them all with lots of special effects. Many shows include dinner, or you can book the show only. Prices vary tremendously, depending on the venue and how you have booked. We prefer small places and ended up booking the show at El Viejo Almacen through the hotel concierge. We decided not to book dinner & show as the reviews for the dinner were no the best.

InstDSC_4165ead we had sushi again at Comedor Nikkai which was only a few blocks away from the show. The Comedor Nikkai is a very down to earth Japanese restaurant in San Telmo. The setting is very simple. The service is attentive and the food is very fresh and high quality. As starters we shared a big wakame salad, then had a miso soup and sushi. As desert we had wasabi ice cream (to die for!) and ginger cake. Prices are very affordable! About 60$ total for 2 persons. inclusive a beer, mineral water and and 10% tip.

After dinner we walked over to El Viejo Almacen. We were offered sparkling wine (cava), water or wine after being seated. We decided to have Cava. Throughout the entire show they kept our glasses filled at no additional charge which was pretty amazing for as little as we paid for the show. The show was amazing as you can see on the photos!
