Bondi Beach, Australia’s most famous beach

Bondi Beach is the world famous beach in the Sydney suburbs. We went to Bondi to check it off our list of things to do in Sydney. We have been to Sydney a couple of times but never been to Bondi. From Sydney you can take the 333 or 380 bus and it takes about 40min. As it was a Sunday and the city was full due to New Year’s, we decided to take a taxi instead which ended up being a good decision. The buses were super crowded. Plus, it only took us 20min to get there. It’s not the beach for a beginners to go surfing. The beach is crowded. In the internet, lots of people write that the beach is overrated, average or that you should go to Manly Beach instead. In my opinion, Bondi is definitely worth a trip. It is interesting to watch people, see the graffitis, the surfers, the skatepark, etc. We ended up in a bar called the Vue Bar (http://www.vuebar.com.au/) drinking a wine and having fried octopus. We sat on the terrace on the 2nd floor and  had a nice view to Bondi Beach. A Dj was playing electronic music and it was a nice chilled-out atmosphere. There were sayings about food and drinking on the walls which was kind of a cool touch for a bar. To sum it up: Go check out Bondi 😉
